Huffing it to the Starting Line

I got out for my first run since the 1/2 on October 1.  It was sluggish and I took a bunch of walk breaks. The weather was gorgeous and I tried to keep my eye off of my watch and enjoy just being out there. It turns out I haven't lost much ground at all, completing 2.8 miles in just over 38 minutes.
I am going to keep this new circuit for the next few weeks, alternating between sprinting it and just running it straight through. I am thinking that I will up my distance in December more consistently to prep for the 10k.
It really was great to get out there, even though I felt like I was sucking wind most of the time. It really is true that getting out is the hardest part of all!
