Giveaways and Goals!

I have entered two giveaways on blogs that I follow and I hope I win! I entered for a Camelbak, and would be siked to get it! I also entered on Watch MeGo Run's blog for yurbuds, which I would be totally siked to get!

And, I have an item that I might giveaway soon, so keep an eye out for it!

Yesterday was my last official workout with Jillian to complete my February goals. As of tomorrow I am onto my March goals, and can celebrate having accomplished all of my January and all of my February goals! I decided to save my American Eagle gift card for now and spend an equal amount at Marshalls or the Good Will. I am a huge fan of the Good Will!

Again, I have thought a lot on my March goals. I will continue with my fiber and protein goals, as well as logging my food into My Food Diary (MFD) each day. As for workouts, I think I need to do more stretching. I also think that between my Jillian workouts and my runs, I am pushing myself a little too hard. Lately, my legs are feeling more and more tired and stiff. To keep from burning out and/or injuring myself I am going to change it up a bit for March. I have plenty of time before my 1/2 and it will be good for me.

March Goals:

1. Log in MFD every day
2. Do 6 workouts each week, with 3 cardio days and 3 strength training days (can include any class at the gym)
3. And here's the big one... Two times per week I will participate in the Operation Beautiful project. I will leave post-it notes in random bathrooms that remind people to love themselves. What's the 'focus on me' part you ask? Each time I put up a post-it I will also do a blog post. All I have to do is be sure I focus on all the wonderful things about myself and congratulate myself for all the hard work I do, and maybe mention some things I should finally forgive myself for. That shouldn't be tough, right?

What goals are you focusing on for March? What do you hope to accomplish in the next few months?

  1. I use My Fitness Pal (MFP) to log my daily food and exercise. It really helps keep me on track too. I hope to subtract another 7 lbs in March, run over 100 miles, and stick to my training plan.

  2. Operation Beautiful is amazing. I'm really looking forward to those posts-- because you never know whose day (or week, or month) you might be making. Just shocking people out of their isolated little orbits for five minutes might bring about untold positive chain reactions. And it'll all come back to you in one form or another, which is kiiind of a bonus, right?

My goals are to practice along with my yoga videos at least twice a week. Gotta start somewhere, right? Also, to get over my habitual fear of math as it pertains to my Astronomy class, and I think some physical activity might just help.

  3. I might steal your Operation Beautiful idea. I just need to find my post-it pad!
Seriously though, that is an awesome idea... I had been considering doing it from time to time... At least when I'm up at the gym (I really don't go many other places, lol)

  5. My big goal for March is to get in more long runs (8+) in training for the next half-marathon that I signed up for on Sunday (eep!). I'm hoping more longer runs will help with my speed and with how I feel after this half. :) I also want to try and make yoga and stretching/strength training a regular part of my routine. At the moment it's kind of haphazard and I'd like it to be more regular.
