Nom Nom Nom

There really isn't much I can say for myself, since eating an entire sleeve of these cookies is just not ok. But hey, I was procrastinating and a bit hungry so I just kept munching away. The best part is that I was lost in reading running blogs and thinking about my training schedule! Ha!

  1. Hi! I found your blog from your comment on Watch MeGo Run. I can really relate to your posts- 4 months ago I was training for my first half (and doing each mile very slowly, I might add). Good luck training for the Disney Half- you'll get to 13.1 before you know it! I'd love to follow you in getting there. Keep up the good work!!

(I'm also a Floridian, born and raised near Tampa!)

  2. Are those girl scout cookies? I am lucky I don't know any girl scouts, that's for sure. The latest junk food my husband and I have been eating is Sweet Tarts JELLY BEANS! OMG they are addictive!

  3. Hi Danielle! Thanks! I am very slow too, but I am surprised that I am already up to being able to run 5.4 miles straight.
Sweet tart jelly beans?! Those sound great! And yes, those are indeed Girl Scout cookies. I bought them because I knew they weren't too bad, but then I ate the entire sleeve and negated all the "not too badness" they may have come with...

  4. Oh man, I am so glad we didn't order girl scout cookies this year. My husband did bring home a pack of Thin Mints a few months ago, because a guy he works with was selling them for his daughter... But if we had actually ordered some, I know I would have requested about 3 boxes of Samoas... and I would have eaten all of them by myself! Eek. LOL

  5. Oh, delicious! Don't blame yourself. They make them just small enough that you can eat an entire sleeve before you realize what you've done. Those *evil* Girl Scout bakers...

  6. We are all powerless against the tremendous might of the Girl Scout cookies. Even avoiding ordering them did not save me this year, as Joe's mom gave us several boxes. I expected them to at least be WHOLESOME, but the caramel delights are chock full of high fructose corn syrup. I ate them anyway.

  7. It's true TriGirl! The real problem was that I could pop one in my mouth and then another; part of it must be their fault! I did order the 2 kinds that don't have HFCS and relatively low amounts of sugar and calories, but still...

  10. That's why I bought those ones, but my logic backfired on me. Next year I will make a donation to them or some other charity and say, 'no thank you' to the cookies entirely.
