If Anyone Needs Me...

I'll be chugging a bottle of water and slipping back into 'Half-Blood Prince' (the 6th of the 7 Harry Potter books) in hopes of getting my hunger off of my mind.

I have already eaten too many calories today, and not worked out, but the BBQ ribs that my husband made were amazing and worth my current state of hunger! I didn't drink enough water today, so it's partly just thirst.

Anywho, I am out of town for the next 2 weeks. Right now I am in Miami for a work meeting until Wednesday morning, then heading to Milwaukee for a conference and then to New England on Friday to spend time with family and friends.

I am going to be trying hard to keep my eating in check. It won't be nearly as easy as last time, when I knew that I had access to fridge and could bring along a cooler (4 flights makes a cooler a bit of an impossibility). I do have a bag of bagels with me! These 'Alternative Bagels' have 110 calories, with 7 grams of protein and 7 grams of fiber and considering they were buy 1 get 1 free at the grocery store it's a good thing I like them! They are pretty yummy, though they don't have the soft inside with a firm crust that I like in bagels. They also have more ingredients than I like in my food, but it's a compromise I was willing to make for the fiber/protein content.

Ok, off to Hogwarts!

  1. Love the Harry Potter books. They are definitely a good distraction tool... I always end up reading for much longer than I plan, which is fine... until I end up staying up way too late! LOL

  2. I actually stopped myself from finishing it last night, but only because I didn't bring the 7th one with me. I had been planning to listen to 6 and 7 on my drive home from MA to FL, but couldn't resist starting the 6th book.

  3. I wish the Harry Potter books were available for the Kindle. That was one of the first things I wanted to buy for mine because I have never read any of them (I know right? Who am I?) Lol. But they haven't been released to Kindle... so I wait...

  4. Hi Jenna! I wouldn't recommend getting into them now because you will likely have to read all of them right now and watch all 6 movies to be up to speed for the 7th movie coming out next month. This could seriously affect your ability to get to work, workout or anything really. Waiting is definitely based at this point! ;)
