  5. What defines me as a runner: even when it hurts, it's not fun, and I don't want to, I keep doing it. Runners are tough cookies- we don't give up!!

  7. So true Jennica and I definitely am not the fastest runner at all! And I really mean it, on a good day I can change it up between running at 4.0 and 5.0 for about 30 minutes. I'm getting faster though!

You're right Daniella, we are tough! Sometimes the pain just makes me push harder and think clearer.

    Thanks for stopping by!

  9. What defines me as a runner is that I don't give up despite not being particularly fast or particularly good at endurance runs. I run because it feels good, not because I'm good at it.

  12. What defines me as a runner... Is the faith that I am building in myself. When I first started running this year, every time I would have to cut a run short or run slower or stop, I would beat myself up over it and tell myself to just stop running all together because I didn't see the point.
But now, I know that I can do this, that even if a run is hard or if I have to take a day off, it's okay. I'm doing something for me and it is making me stronger, both physically and mentally.

  13. I am thankful for:
    1) My husband
    2) Baseball
    3) Good beer

Though the last two may be heavily influenced by the fact that I'll get to enjoy both of those things super soon when we go home to the states next month! LOL

  15. What defines me as a runner? Great question. I think anyone that laces up their shoes and pounds the pavement is a runner... fast or slow or somehwere in the middle. I have been running for ONE YEAR this month and I have never been happy. I run, therefore I am.

  16. Three things I'm thankful for:
    1. Aaron, my darling husband and pretty much my whole heart.
    2. Fitness. Fitness is a newer concept to me and being strong and healthy has totally changed my life.
    3. My parents, they're pretty much the best people ever and I wouldn't be me without them. Which is corny and obvious, but true.

  40. What defines ME as a runner is my attitude. I might not be the fastest, I might not have the best form, I don't do 1000 miles in a year, but I believe in my heart that I AM a runner! It is the first time where I have really found something that I can do just for myself, yet I ended up meeting so many great people that understand me and I can share all of the ups and downs with!

  41. Things I am thankful for:

1 - my mom. She's the greatest mom ever. Not just a mom, but a friend! We laugh together, we cry together, we constantly say the same things at the same time and sometimes we even realize we dressed alike that day - without planning it. Plus we work together, so talk about quality time!

2 - blogging. It has become such a fabulous way for me to learn from others, meet other people, babble about what is going on with me. Never in my life would I think I could go to a race alone, but know that I'll meet "friends" there - even though we've never physically met!

3 - Jimmy Buffett. He completes me. I start off every single work day listening to him from 8 to 9 on Radio Margaritaville. What a way to start a day - fun music, visions of being on the beach .... I think he helps me adjust to the tedious monotony of work!
