GiveGiveGive Giveaways!

Much, much, much going on so this will be a longer post, but hopefully you'll find it worth sticking around for.

As promised, here are some of the pictures from my trip to Disney 2 weeks ago, with my niece.

 Lego shop at Downtown Disney!

I was hesitant to climb up there for a picture, but it would have made a much better picture.

See, even the lean helps to make this picture better.

Here I am making water. Yes, making water. I refused to spend $2.50 on a TWENTY OUNCE bottle of water. Instead, I filled up our bottles, the hotel cups and the hotel ice bucket with ice. Next morning, voila, we had ice cold water!

I love the Lego shop, and can't help taking a picture with the bulldog! I think my bulldog is much cuter, but since I have never shared a picture of our cat, here she is:
Yup, she is this tiny. When I found her she was about 12 weeks old and weighed just under 2 pounds. She is just over 2 years old, all nursed back to health and only weighs about 5.75 pounds. She is a special kitty.

We got to meet Pluto. We were first in line for the whole day to meet Mickey and Minnie (it was pretty cool to have no one in front of us in line at Disney) and later on we met Mary Poppins and Pinocchio.

Soon after the Disney trip I found out that I had won my first giveaway, thanks to Fit Crafty English Teacher. I won a headband from Razzy Roo, and chose 'Shazam'. I tried it out and am loving it! Thank you to Razzy Roo and Fit Crafty English Teacher.

I found out tonight that I won a giveaway from This Spartan Will; a BIC Band. I am so excited to try another headband designed for running. I don't know about you, but I am always thinking about ways to keep my bangs and whispies under control. Not to mention that BIC stands for: Because I Can Band - 'for those who can't, because we can, do one day they will' That choked me up a little, as I thought about my 1/2 and running it in memory of my Dad. I will let everyone know what I think of the headband once it arrives, but I think it will be great!

Theeeen, I got in touch with Gotein because I wanted to try their product. They agreed to send me samples, and I got one vanilla, one chocolate and one strawberry.

I mixed the Strawberry into 1.5 cups of unsweetend soymilk, and crossed my fingers that it would taste like the strawberry milk of my childhood. I was pleasantly surprised at the taste! It didn't blend well, but I think that is my fault since I didn't use as much liquid as called for in the directions. I didn't try it mixed with water, because I really like to add protein powders to milk. I will definitely take 110 calories for 17 grams of protein, and often times I would use just 1/2 the packet for only 55 calories and 8.5 grams of protein.

Strawberry Nutritional Facts

How do you get to try the Gotein protein powders for free? Well, with so many other giveaways mentioned in this post, I figured it was time for me to do another giveaway! Starting now until August 8th you will have the chance to enter a giveaway for a sample package from Gotein, including a chocolate, vanilla and strawberry protein powder. *I will use random.org to chose the winner*.To enter you must be a follower of my blog, and for extra entries you can:

1. Leave a motivational quote or compliment on someone else's blog and leave a comment here about what you wrote.
2. Post this to your own blog.

A great compliment to the protein powder would be a new EZ T from Brooks. Head over to I Run Like a Girl to check out her giveaway for this awesome Brooks shirt.

OK, that's enough for one post. I hope you stuck around to learn about the cool giveaways going on. Once my dinner settles I am heading for a run. I made birthday cake this morning and walked the dogs, so I didn't get to run. I made frosting and had birthday dinner after work, so I didn't get to run. One more hour of settling my food and then it's 30 minutes of speed work.

  1. Such an adorable kitty! My cat was only 6-7 pounds, but he was ridiculously fluffy so he looked heavier. Your trip to Disney looks fun =) (and I would have 'made' water before going too!)
